Charitable Activities in the 2015 Year Supported a Diverse Range of Local and International Causes, From Education to Disaster Relief

Milpitas, CA – December 15, 2015 ZL Technologies, Inc. (ZL), the leader in unified information governance for the enterprise, today released its annual overview of charitable activities conducted throughout the 2015 calendar year. Working alone as well as with partner firms and long-time customers, ZL provided support to numerous charitable causes through both financial and on-site involvement.

Data Scientists of the Future: Software System Donation to the University of Akron January, 2015
Early in the year, ZL worked with the University of Akron to deploy a fully-functional ZL Unified Archive® environment to the university’s Computer Science department. The system will be used by students and researchers, advancing the training of future data scientists and big data specialists.
- Support for Nepal: Fundraiser for Earthquake Victims

Following the April 25th Nepal earthquake which resulted catastrophic human and economic loss, ZL organized an internal fundraising effort to show solidarity and support for the nation and its citizens.
- Big Brothers Big Sisters 40th Annual Golf Classic

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay continued to receive support from ZL in the summer of 2015, via donation to their annual golf tournament. ZL supports the event on an annual basis, working with a customer firm who is a major sponsor of the event. This year’s tournament raised a total of over $700,000 for the direct support of children in the community.
- Rock for EPACS: East Palo Alto Charter School Benefit

Supporting education of disadvantaged students in the Bay Area, ZL made a donation to the Rock for EPACS fundraiser and concert, organized for the East Palo Alto Charter School (EPACS) and East Palo Alto Phoenix Academy (EPAPA). Both EPACS and EPAPA were established with the explicit purpose of equipping all students — regardless of background — with the critical skills necessary to excel in college and beyond.
- AIIM First In Flight Chapter Annual Golf Tournament October 19, 2015 AIIM, a professional association of information management professionals, has long aligned with ZL’s overarching mission. The North Carolina chapter of AIIM organized a fundraising golf tournament, in which all proceeds were donated to two youth charities, focusing on fragile X syndrome and juvenile diabetes. ZL donated to and participated in the tournament.
